Kudos comes from the Greek word kydos, which means praise or renown.
In the Knox County Public Schools, we have hundreds of students who give their 110% best each day. They may not always be in the spotlight, but they choose to do the right thing and be a positive role model. Whether it is a personal achievement, demonstrating positive behavior through PBIS, or lending a helping hand, these students stand apart for their character and commitment. Give these students a “pat on the back“!

compliments or congratulations.
Students are selected by their school leadership team for a kudos recognition. Their photo and story will appear on our Kudos to our Kids webpage and a personalized message from Superintendent Sprinkles will be sent to compliment and congratulate them.
